As dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons, we are frequently questioned about Botox and Dermal Filler treatments, their effectiveness as standalone aesthetic procedures, how they vary from one another, if at all, and of course, Botox and Dermal Filler training programs. Even aspiring face aestheticians have some misunderstandings about the two cosmetic treatments that appear to be identical to the general public. First off, Botox and Dermal Filler are both successful treatments for eradicating various aging symptoms. Both of them are non-surgical and involve injections. The similarities stop at this point. A natural protein called Botox, also known as Botulinum Toxin Type A, temporarily relaxes the muscles of the face to prevent wrinkles and fine lines. In essence, pure bacteria in Botox freezes muscles. Although its primary function is, as previously said, to prevent fine lines and wrinkles brought on by facial movements and emotions, it is also frequently used to treat muscular dystonias and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
